Adventure Days with Talkin Adventures provide a brilliant opportunity for outdoor adventure experiences for 8-14 year olds. Spend time in the outdoors, away from the distractions of tablets, mobile phones, TV and computer games. Create real memories as you try a new activity, meet new people and have a great time.

These popular activity days deliver a range of benefits for children and parents. Parents are confident that their children will be well looked after by our professional team of instructors during the day, and children will have LOADS OF FUN as they experience new and exciting activities 

How to register...

Booking is easy with our online booking and payment system. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as you book, with more details, kit list and an information form help us create the best possible experience for your children. We'll also send a reminder a few days before the Adventure Day as we know how busy you are.

On the day...

On the day of your booked event, we'll be waiting for you at our waterfront cabin at Talkin Tarn Country Park, Brampton, for registration from 9am. Remember to pack spare clothes, shoes and a light weight, wind-proof jacket for the water activities. Pack any medication your children need to carry such as inhalers. Have a quick look at the forecast as we'll have just as much fun in the rain as we will on a glorious sunny day with a few minor adjustments to the program. Sun cream and hats are a good idea, as are extra jumpers and waterproofs.

Once we've checked we have your child's form and had a brief chat you'll be able to get on with your day, or have a wander around Talkin Tarn.

During registration there's always time for a quick chat about the day. Our instructors will be entertaining and getting to know the group while everyone arrives. Some children will be on their own whilst others will be with siblings or friends - very soon into the day new friendships will be forged and even the most shy of individuals are sure to have a great time. They'll be raving about their day well into the evening and pestering to come back another day!

At the end of a superb day...​

Your kids will be ready to tell you all about their brilliant day from around 3pm, before falling asleep on the journey home. Have a coffee on the balcony of the Tea Rooms as you watch them come back in from a watersports session, or pop around to see them hit the archery target. We just ask that you collect your children by 3:30, unless we've arranged extended time in advance.

We usually take photos and short video clips through the day and, with your permission, post these for you to see and share on Facebook and Instagram for your friends and family. Following the day we'll email some photos directly to you with a request for some feedback to help us make these days even better for the next time you come.
