Your Hen Party in Cumbria

We are so pleased to welcome hen parties back to Cumbria. Before the mess of 2020 I would say that hen party activities near Carlisle were the main part of our business. Now that the restrictions have been lifted, people are regaining the confidence to book ahead and an adventure hen party is well and truly back on the cards! 

When we say that we love hen parties, people are often surprised. We really do think they're great though. The groups who come to us are genuinely lovely. Typically a group will book a big house locally, like Bush Nook Farmhouse in Gilsland, arrange some really nice food and drink for a fun weekend together with friends (not forgetting mums, sisters, aunties), then they'll get in touch with us to arrange an activity that everyone can enjoy. A great hen party involves lovely people getting together for a nice time - and we love to be a part of that!

The most popular activities for a hen party with us are Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Archery, and The Treasure Chest Challenge. You can also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and even raft building with us!

Each year we put together a brochure to help you to choose the best package for you and your group. The common theme when people first get in touch, is that they are looking for a fun activity that their whole group can enjoy, and we'll do our best to arrange it!

We recognise that a hen party is made up of a wide age range, with people having lots of different interests. The hen might be super outdoorsy but her mum or work colleagues might be happier with a nice glass of wine in a stylish bar. That's why we'll ask about your group and make suggestions to help create the best package for you. With both land and water based options, there's something for everyone. Some of our activities can be brought to your venue - Bush Nook has a really big garden and even though they have THREE HOT TUBS (yes, 3!) there is still plenty of space for Archery and our Treasure Chest Challenge. On the water, the sessions will be tailored to suit you. If you want to dive in and get soaking wet then we're happy to help, but if you or some of the group are less confident, we'll help you to stay dry-ish and still have a lovely time with plenty of games as we take in the stunning surroundings of Talkin Tarn.
